How to Use Event Manager

A quick guide to managing your events and staying organized.

1. Sign In

To get started, you'll need to sign in. We offer convenient authentication options using your existing Google or GitHub accounts. Simply click the "Continue with Google" or "Continue with GitHub" button on the login page.

2. Create a New Event

Once logged in, you'll see the main event management page. To create a new event:

  • Title: Enter a descriptive title for your event (e.g., "Team Meeting," "Dentist Appointment").
  • Description (Optional): Add more details about the event.
  • Location (Optional): Specify where the event will take place.
  • Reminder (minutes before): Set how many minutes before the event you'd like a reminder.
  • All day event: Check this box if the event spans the entire day and doesn't have specific start/end times.
  • Start & End: Select the date and time for your event. If it's an all-day event, only the date will be required.

After filling in the details, click the "Create Event" button.

3. Edit or Delete Events

Your created events will appear in a list below the form. For each event, you'll find:

  • Edit: Click the "Edit" button to modify an existing event. The form will pre-fill with the event's details, allowing you to make changes and then click "Update Event."
  • Delete: Click the "Delete" button to remove an event from your list. You'll be asked for confirmation.

4. Download or Subscribe to Your Calendar

At the bottom of the main page, you'll see options to integrate your events with other calendar applications:

  • Download All Events (.ics): Click this button to download a static `.ics` file containing all your current events. This is a one-time import.
  • Calendar Subscription Link: After creating an event, a modal will appear with a subscription link. Copy this link ( button) and add it to your preferred calendar app (e.g., Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar). Subscribing means your calendar will automatically update as you add, edit, or delete events in Event Manager.

That's it! You're now ready to start managing your events efficiently with Event Manager. If you have any further questions, please visit our About Us page or contact us.
